Mohamed Ali Janah is the Principal Advisor to Maldivian President, Mohamed Muizzu on trade and investment.

Mr Janah is an entrepreneur and developer with over 30 years of experience in ventures spanning the Maldives and the Middle East. He serves as Chairman of Hotels and Resorts Construction and Group Chairman of Hotels and Resorts Investment Maldives (HARIM), a diversified conglomerate spanning construction technology, marine products, and investments, which is a Strategic Partner of CWEIC. He is the current President of Maldives National Association for Construction Industry for the seventh term. He is also the President of National Federation of Maldivian Employers and was the 45th President of IFAWPCA from 2018-2022 (International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors’ Associations).

He was appointed as the Honorary Consul of Hungary in Maldives in July 2021 and promoted to Honorary Consul-General of Hungary in Maldives in October 2022.

In 2017, the Government of Maldives awarded him the National Award of Recognition in the area of Architecture, Construction and Consultancy. He was also awarded the Maldives Entrepreneur of the Year 2018.
