Commonwealth Gathers for the High Commissioners’ Banquet at Mansion House

In collaboration with the City of London Corporation and the Royal Commonwealth Society, CWEIC was pleased to host the Commonwealth High Commissioners’ Banquet on the 27th of November.

Taking place in the iconic Mansion House in the heart of the City of London, the High Commissioners banquet brought together the Commonwealth Diplomatic Community in London along with senior government official and international business figures, celebrating the convening power of the Commonwealth. CWEIC were delighted to welcome a number of Strategic Partners at the event which followed CWEIC’s Advisory Council Meeting earlier in the day.

Alderman Sir William Russell, standing in for the Lord Mayor Alastair King, offered his reflections on the success of the recent Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Samoa. Guests also heard from Lord Collins of Highbury, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Africa, as well as Nahjae
Nunes, Co-Chair of the 2024 Commonwealth Youth Forum, who addressed the Mansion House on this years banquet theme, Youth Leadership.
