CWEIC Strategic Partner, Hotels and Resorts Investments and CWEIC have signed a MoU to help establish a CWEIC Hub for Enterprise and Investment in Maldives, which will provide a range of assistance to young entrepreneurs under the age of 35.
The agreement was signed at a ceremony held at Bandos Maldives yesterday in honour of CWEIC Chairman Lord Marland under the generous hospitality of Mohamed Ali Janah, the Chairman of Hotels and Resorts Investments Maldives (HARIM), and Advisory Council Member of CWEIC.
Mr Ahmed Jasim Janah, Group Chief Strategy Officer, signed the MoU on behalf of HARIM, while Lord Jonathan Marland represented CWEIC. Speaking at the event, Mr Jasim shared insightful remarks highlighting the significance of particularly of collaboration through partnerships with international entities like CWEIC, in shaping the future of trade and investment in the Maldives.
In addition, the agreement will provide opportunities for young entrepreneurs from 56 Commonwealth countries to establish and run businesses in Maldives. The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ms Sheryna Abdul Samad, commended CWEIC’s endeavours in advancing sustainable development and prosperity. Concluding the session, Ms Ayesha Nurain Janah, Vice Chair of HARIM, underscored the pivotal role of young Maldivian entrepreneurs in driving positive change.
