Lord Marland was deeply honoured to call upon His Excellency Ranil Wickremesinghe, the President of Sri Lanka on his recent trip to Colombo.

Their discussions centred on further strengthening Sri Lanka – Commonwealth relations and exploring opportunities for partnership as Sri Lanka’s economy recovers and shows strong signs of growth.

The Government of Sri Lanka and the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council maintain a longstanding relationship. CWEIC was delighted that Sri Lanka joined as an institutional Strategic Partner in August 2023 and we are excited to continue to support Sri Lanka in leveraging the Commonwealth Advantage.
