Lord Marland recently visited the Malaysian State of Sarawak to discuss ways CWEIC can help strengthen relationships with the Commonwealth.
Lord Marland was honoured to call upon Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian of the State of Sarawak in Malaysia during his visit.
Together they discussed ways the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council can help assist Sarawak by showcasing the opportunities in the state to the Commonwealth business community.
Commenting at a press conference with the President of Invest Sarawak, Timothy Ong, Lord Marland said: “[CWEIC’s] goal is to attract investment to Sarawak and promote the outstanding products and services in the green, energy, technology, and medical sectors to a global audience, ultimately benefiting the local community,”.
Furthermore, he emphasised Sarawak’s achievement of carbon neutrality in its green economy, establishing it as a frontrunner in combating climate change.
