The Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council is excited to announce the appointment of James E. Harris as Strategic Advisor – Middle East.
In this role, James will help strengthen CWEIC’s presence in the region, supporting trade and investment across the Commonwealth from a UAE hub. His work will focus on attracting new members and partners while offering practical support to existing CWEIC members looking to expand in the Middle East.
James brings extensive Commonwealth experience, serving as Honorary Consul for Vanuatu to the United Kingdom and a special advisor to Vanuatu’s Ministry of Climate Change. He has also contributed as a CWEIC advisory council member for Pacific Trade Invest and as a Commonwealth Foundation Executive Committee member. His time in Dubai began with Vanuatu’s participation in Expo 2020 and later COP28, laying the groundwork for CWEIC’s regional expansion.
With a deep commitment to fostering Commonwealth prosperity, James believes trade and investment are vital to unlocking opportunities in the Middle East. We are delighted to have him on board and look forward to his contributions in advancing CWEIC’s mission.
