CWEIC Attends Special Reception To Celebrate the 51st Anniversary of Independence of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas

CWEIC staff were honoured to celebrate the 51st Anniversary of Independence of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

The event, held under the patronage of The Honourable Frederick A. Mitchell MP, Minister of Foreign Affairs of The Bahamas, and H.E. Paul Andrew Gomez, High Commissioner of The Bahamas to the United Kingdom, featured a reception and concert by the Bel Canto Singers from The Bahamas at the Savoy Hotel in London.

The Bel Canto Singers from The Bahamas are a renowned vocal ensemble known for their rich, harmonious performances that blend traditional and contemporary influences. Established in the early 1990s, they have gained recognition for their captivating renditions of both Bahamian folk songs and classical choral works.

Anna van Harwegen den Breems, Megan Wright, and Rashida Munnaverali attended the celebration by invitation of the High Commission. The Government of the Bahamas has been a Strategic Partner of CWEIC since 2022.
