We were delighted to welcome over 400 delegates from over 40 countries to the 3rd iteration of the Commonwealth Trade & Investment Summit (CTIS) that took place in London on the 27th and 28th of November
Across two days, delegates heard from high-quality international speakers such as well as ministers from across the Commonwealth, including from Cameroon, Ghana, Gibraltar, Nigeria and the UK. High-level panel discussions focused on issues as varied as the intersection between technology and healthcare, investment finance for emerging markets, and the role of the private sector in driving sustainability.
This year’s guest of honour was the Hon Fiamē Naomi Mata’afa, Prime Minister of Samoa and next Commonwealth Chair-in-Office, who gave her thoughts on the immense potential of the Commonwealth for small island states. Prime Minister Mata’afa also formally announced that the Commonwealth Business Forum will come to Samoa in 2024, alongside the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, following successful Forums in Malta, London, and Rwanda in previous years.
The energy and diversity showcased at the summit underscore the vitality and potential inherent in the Commonwealth’s business community. Together, we highlighted the remarkable opportunities across the 56 member states and the pivotal contributions of our Strategic Partners in fostering growth and investment.
We are highly appreciative for the support we received from our Platinum Partners, including Zenith Bank, TPP, our Gold Partner, the Government of Cameroon, and Promethean, our Silver Partner.
We are confident that the conversations that took place are just the beginning, and we hope that the relationships formed at this year’s CTIS will spawn productive and long-lasting commercial relationships.
