The Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council has official launched the Bangladesh Hub Office in Dhaka.

CWEIC Chairman, Lord Marland, and the Bangladesh Prime Minister’s Advisor for Private Industry and Investment Adviser, Salman F Rahman, inaugurated the office in Dhaka with a ceremony.

During the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Trade and Investment Forum, Lord Marland, Chairman of CWEIC, explained that the office was mandated to enable local businesses to access a wide range of trade and investment prospects within the Commonwealth, and will give international businesses an entry point into the vast Bangladeshi market. Mr Zillur Hussain MBE, will lead the Hub as the Strategic Advisor.

The Bangladesh Hub office joins CWEIC’s network of in-country Hub Offices in Cameroon, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Australia, the Caribbean, Singapore, Gibraltar, and Malta.
