CWEIC’s Hub in Cameroon, Gabon, and Togo Strengthens Strategic Partnerships with Retreat in Kribi

The Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council Hub for Cameroon, Gabon, and Togo launched its 2025 activities with a high-impact Strategic Partners’ Retreat in Kribi, Cameroon, on February 12, 2025.

Spearheaded by CWEIC Hub Chairman Mr Auguste Mbappe Penda, the retreat gathered Strategic Partners and key stakeholders to enhance cooperation across the CWEIC membership and explore new avenues for investment-driven collaboration. Under the patronage of HE Felix Mbayu, Minister Delegate at the Ministry of External Relations in charge of Cooperation with the Commonwealth—represented by Mrs Anne Oben, Director of the Commonwealth Department—the event reinforced CWEIC’s role in fostering economic partnerships across the region.

A major highlight was the presence of HE Anthony Minko Minlame, Gabon’s new High Commissioner to Cameroon, demonstrating Gabon’s dedication to deepening its engagement with CWEIC. Other distinguished strategic partners, including the Port Authority of Kribi, Investment Promotion Agency, Cameroon Telecommunications, Cameroon Water Utilities Corporation, and the Cameroon National Shippers’ Council, actively participated in discussions aimed at unlocking new business and investment opportunities.

CWEIC’s Hub Director, Mr Cham Etienne Bama, also unveiled the 2025 Action Plan, outlining key initiatives to further integrate regional partners into CWEIC’s global network. Additionally, strategic partners had the opportunity to present priority projects, showcasing investment-ready opportunities for Commonwealth investors.

This retreat marks a powerful start to the year, reinforcing CWEIC’s mission to connect businesses, foster trade, and drive sustainable economic partnerships across the region.
