Lord Marland Appears on BBC Newsday to discuss the Commonwealth Business Forum in Apia

As the world’s attention shifts to CHOGM 2024 in Samoa, CWEIC’s Chairman, Lord Marland, shared his insights in an interview with the BBC, discussing the significant opportunities this year’s event presents for the Commonwealth. His remarks highlighted the King’s recent visit to Australia, the ongoing process of selecting a new Secretary-General, and the potential for strengthening trade and investment links among the Commonwealth’s fifty-six member states.

Reflecting on the growing interest in the Commonwealth Business Forum, Lord Marland noted, “We’ve got a waiting list of people. There’s a lot of interest in Samoa, and there’s a lot of interest in the Commonwealth and the networking opportunities it provides.” His comments highlight the global enthusiasm surrounding this year’s forum and the Commonwealth’s potential for deeper collaboration.
