CWEIC had the pleasure of meeting with Alberta’s Minister of Jobs, Economy and Trade, The Hon. Matt Jones, and his delegation at the House of Lords.

Lord Swire, Deputy Chair, and Rashida Munnaverali, Strategic Partner Manager met with the Minister Hon. Matt Jones, Jerry Bellikka, Chief of Staff, and Klaus Büttner, Alberta UK Office Managing Director, CWEIC’s Strategic Partner.

This meeting highlighted the value and opportunities of our new strategic partnership with the Government of Alberta.

With a strong commitment to diversifying its economy, Alberta is also making significant strides in technology, agriculture, and renewable energy. This makes it a key player on the global stage and an ideal partner for fostering international trade and investment.

CWEIC is excited about their interest in Africa and looks forward to collaborating on initiatives across the continent, particularly in Nigeria. The new Strategic Partnership will leverage Alberta’s expertise in strong sectors such as energy, oil, and gas and CWEIC’s extensive network across the Commonwealth.
