Deshan Gonawela serves as CWEIC’s Country Director for Sri Lanka, tasked with growing our network in the region.

Deshan has multiple years of experience across both the Government and the private sector, having previously worked in Sri lanka’s Foreign Office in addition to a number of both local and multi-national companies in Sri Lanka.

Deshan also has extensive experience in business facilitation and stakeholder management, with a special focus on developing business with Government and Public-Private partnerships.

He is a Graduate of the University of London and also holds an MBA from the Birmingham City University.
