Fortescue

Established in Western Australia in 2003, Fortescue has become a global green technology, energy and metals company that is working to accelerate commercial decarbonisation through heavy industry, rapidly, profitably and globally.
As one of the world’s lowest cost iron ore producers, Fortescue is now shipping at an annual rate of over 180 million tonnes with more than 1.7 billion tonnes of iron ore delivered to their customers since 2008. Through their green energy and technology company FFI, they are rapidly diversifying the business to become an integrated, global green energy and resources company. Key to this transition are their industry leading targets to achieve carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 and net zero Scope 3 emissions by 2040. For Fortescue’s size and scale, there is no other mining company in the world that is taking the action they are to eliminate emissions.
