Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (ASSOCHAM)

The Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) is the country’s oldest apex chamber. It brings in actionable insights to strengthen the Indian ecosystem, leveraging its network of more than 4,50,000 members, of which MSMEs represent a large segment. ASSOCHAM also has more than 400 associations, federations, and regional chambers in its fold.
The Chamber is working hand in hand with the government, regulators, and national and international think tanks to contribute to the policy-making process and share vital feedback on the implementation of decisions with far-reaching consequences. ASSOCHAM is driving four strategic priorities – Sustainability, Empowerment, Entrepreneurship and Digitalisation. The Chamber believes that affirmative action in these areas would help drive inclusive and sustainable socio-economic growth for the country.

Manish Singhal
Secretary General
The Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (ASSOCHAM)Mr. Manish Singhal is Secretary General at ASSOCHAM.
Mr. Singhal previously served at the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), another leading national chamber in India, for over 12½ years. During his career at FICCI he held various responsibilities covering International relations, Research, Exhibitions, resource conservation consulting and capacity building, besides IT and Digitalisation.
Prior to his time at FICCI, he spent over 22 years with some of the best-in-class Indian transnational companies like Tata Motors, Eicher (Volvo), Tata Autocomp Systems, Moser Baer, and BEML. His career involves immense exposure to the global multi-cultural business environment, covering over 70 countries.
He has a master’s degree in International Business from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) and B.E (Mechanical) degree from Delhi College of Engineering, post his schooling from St. Xaviers, Delhi.
